Many thrift stores support a non-profit supporting those in poverty. So how do you engage someone in obvious need who asks for free merchandise from your store rather than directly with the non-profit?

Knox Area Rescue Ministries supports the poor and homeless in the greater Knoxville area and people will enter KARM Stores to ask for free product. Here is how we encourage our team to respond.

Team member: “Our mission at KARM Stores is to help provide funding for Knox Area Rescue Ministries who then help those in need. I encourage you to reach out to KARM if you are in need of shelter, a meal or any other items that you may find here at the stores.”
